Shot during the 2009 Feast of San Genaro Festival in Little Italy, this was my first time as a spectator at competitive eating event. I love cannolis so this was an added bonus as the cannolis were provided by Ferrara Bakery.
The sight, sounds and smells of grown men mashing, smashing and masticating stacks of cannolis into their mouths was horrific as sticky drool covered beards, pulverized sugar and flour filled the air and eyes rolled back as the competitors pushed their gullets to the limit.
Crazy Legs Conti from the East Village won by eating 20 in six minutes. For comparison, the winner of the 2010 contest won by eating 13 in the same amount of time.

Black and white is essence. Vision and perspective is all.
